Frequently asked questions
What is this used for?
Persian cheques, invoices and contracts require the amount in words as well as digits. This produces that text.
How large a number is supported?
Into the trillions, which covers any ordinary invoice or contract. Anything larger is reported as an error rather than written incorrectly.
Why can I not type a decimal point once I pick a currency?
Because Toman and Rial have no decimal part — an amount like “12.5 Toman” does not exist. Set the currency back to none and decimals are allowed again.
What changes between Toman and Rial?
Only the unit appended to the text; the number is not converted. To convert the amount itself, this tool does that.
