Notes on this tool

One Toman is ten Rials, so converting is a matter of one zero. That is why the tool exists: the common mistake is dropping or adding that zero, not the arithmetic.

Persian and Latin digits are both accepted, and commas or spaces between digits are ignored.

Decimal points are refused in both fields, since an amount like “12.5 Toman” does not exist. Only a Rial figure that is not a multiple of ten produces a fractional Toman value — which almost never happens in practice.

Ten. Multiply by 10 to go from Toman to Rial, and divide by 10 for the other direction.

How can I tell which unit a price is in?
Usually by size: a price in Rial carries one more zero than the same amount in Toman. Official invoices and bank statements are normally in Rial.

No. Toman and Rial are two units of the same currency with a fixed ratio, so no rate and no connection is involved.
